First Bihar cabinet meeting in village: High schools to be upgraded

Patna, (Bihar Times): All the high-schools of Bihar will now have Plus-Two classes and each sub-division town will have a constituent degree college.

This was among the decision taken at the Bihar cabinet meeting at Barbighi in Begusarai district on Tuesday. Incidentally this is the first cabinet meeting ever to take place in a far-flung village of Bihar. In the past cabinet meetings have taken place in Ranchi, which was earlier considered as the summer capital of the state too. In the first-phase 1,350 such schools will be upgraded. The cabinet also decided to set up govt. degree college in each sub-division.

The council of minister approved the proposal to set up a Road Construction Corportation and Bihar Urban Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited.
“Yah Lokshahi ki Rajshahi per jeet hai” Nitish explained the purpose of this new experiment. “Now people feel empowered and this would be a great learning for us” he added further.

From the decision of Nitish Babu, it is quite clear that his government has started looking at grass-root level for implementation of projects / developmental work. It needs to be mentioned that Nitish Babu made history yesterday by way of organizing full-fledged cabinet meeting in a village in India. The purpose was very much clear and understandable and I am sure that this type of arrangement will force the Babus/BDOs/Mukhiyas/Sarpanchs/COs to make projects / developmental schemes visible amongst commenmen/women and entire sections of society.

I am very much overwhelmed to see Nitish Babu's "Vikas Yatra" and could understand the frustration of Shri Shyam Rajak and other RJD leaders. In their 15 years of rule, they never went to see the plight of any villagers.

Further, while seeing Nitish Babu's effort and his determination, many intellectuals in Bihar re-called the effort of Babu Shri Krishna Singh (under his leadership Bihar had seen substantial development). We all know, the corruption is a root-cause of non-implementation of schemes and it has to be uprooted once for all, but it cannot be done overnight. The people of our region has now started applying RTI act and calling "Jankari".

We all members of society regardless of cast, creed, affiliation and religion, must give a helping hand to the Chief Minister who has promised all-round development for Bihar and the dream will come true one day if we all extend our hands and contributes for our State and motherland.
