Cabinet nod for two state corporations

 

Patna, (Bihar Times): Apart from opening degree colleges in all the sub-division towns, which do not have any such institution and upgrading 1,350 secondary schools into Plus-II schools the state cabinet in Birbighi in Begusarai on Tuesday decided to set up two state corporations. They are Bihar State Road Construction Corporation and Bihar State Urban Infrastructure Development Corporation.

This was announced to the media by the chief minister Nitish Kumar after the meeting, the first of its kind to take place in any village. There are in all 39 sub-divisions in the state, which have no constituent degree college.

Besides, decision have been taken regarding financial assistance to unaided schools. Under a new formula, such help would be based on the number of students passing Class X from such schools. The schools would be given Rs 3,000 per successful student.

It has also been decided to construct 65 Panchayat Sarkar Bhawans, with each of them costing Rs 45.5 lakh. The sum of Rs 30.5 crore will be spent in the first phase during which these buildings will be constructed in Maoist-affected areas. Begusarai town has been made the eight municipal corporation of the state.

we expect more such cabinet meetings in different distrcts . This is a process of cleaning the administration. The Three decisions taken at the cabinet meeting at Barbigha /Begusarai is most waited move.
