People definitely unhappy with local administration: Nitish

Patna, (Bihar Times): Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said on Wednesday that through his Vikas Yatra he had come to know about the ground realities and the problems of the people. It would be wrong to say that they are unhappy with the state government. But they are definitely unhappy with the local administration.

Addressing newsmen at Barbighi, the village in Begusarai district where the first cabinet meeting took place a day earlier, he said that he was quite satisfied with his Vikas Yatra, whose purpose was to ensure dominance of Lok Shakti (public power) over the Raj Shakti (administrative power). The Yatra is a role reversal as earlier Satta (power) dominated Janata (people),

He claimed that the common man was coming forward to boldly tell him about the state of affairs at grassroot level. On being asked if it caused any sort of embarrassment to him, the chief minister replied that he was encouraging people to speak without fear. This, according to him, is a departure from the past when the people were discouraged and were even threatened not to speak the truth.
