10 trains for Bihar in the rail budget

Patna, (BiharTimes): Ten out of 43 new trains announced by the railway minister, Lalu Yadav, on Friday  have gone to Bihar.

They include two Garib Rath and one Rajdhani Express. One would connect Darbhanga to Jammu Tawi, the other would run from Bhagalpur to Ajmer via Delhi.

The 18 MEMU running in the state will have 16 coaches instead of 12 as they remain heavily crowded.

Most of these MEMU connect Patna with places like Gaya, Jhajha, Buxar, Mughalsarai and Ara. He said the coach augmentation would be completed by March-April end. The benefit would also be extended to the MEMUs running between Mokama and Danapur.

The state is also benefited from extension in services of trains and increase in frequency. Two new Rajdhani from Delhi to Guwahati that he announced was another good news for the people of his home state. One would run via Bhagalpur and the other via Muzaffarpur.
