Left to contest 33 seats in Bihar

Patna, (BiharTimes): The CPI, CPI-M and CPI-ML (Liberation) would field 33 candidates out of 40 Lok Sabha seats in Bihar.

The CPI state secretary Badri Narayan Lal was quoted by a news agency as saying that the CPI-ML (Liberation), CPI and CPI-M would contest 22, six and five seats respectively. There will be no friendly fight among Left parties in any seat in the state.

He said that there was a little bit of hitch over contesting Karakat parliamentary seat as both CPI and CPI-ML (Liberation) were staking claim to contest the seat but it was resolved amicably.
