State allots land for AMU branch in Kishanganj

 

Patna, (Bihar Times): The state government has finally allotted land in Kishanganj for one of the branches of the Aligarh Muslim University.

The Centre has sometimes back sought land for this central university in Bihar. The Union human resources development ministry is planning to open five such branches in the country. It demanded landed in the Muslim concentrated pocket of Bihar. Kishanganj has the highest percentage of Muslims in Bihar.

The chief minister, Nitish Kumar, told newsmen that the education among Muslims would increase with the opening of a branch of the AMU.
