Ranjan Yadav furious over Lalu-Paswan friendship

Patna, (Bihar Times): Former RJD working President, Ranjan Yadav, is furious over Union fertilizer minister, Ram Vilas Paswan’s friendly gesture towards railway minister Lalu Prasad Yadav.

In a letter to the Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) president, Ram Vilas Paswan, Ranjan, who is also the party’s Parliamentary Board Chairperson, made it amply clear to him that he would not hesitate to walk out of the party if the LJP made any kind of electoral alliance with Lalu-led Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD).

“Are you going to mortgage the trust of those who put their faith in you to the man who destroyed this once great state of Bihar? Are you going to offer your hand to the man who spoke against you during past elections and the man who you criticized yourself for betraying the trust of the people of Bihar? If this is how you wish to advance the party’s political agenda then I am sad to state that I do not want any part of it,” the letter said.

He was shocked over the way the LJP decided to get cozy with Lalu Prasad Yadav without him being a part of the decision-making process. “I am the president of the LJP Parliamentary Board and yet I was not invited to participate in the discussion regarding any alliance with the RJD. If you had asked me, I would have advised you to stay away from the RJD president even if it cost us a few seats in the next Lok Sabha elections,” Ranjan said.
