Tarakant Jha felicitated

 

Patna, (Bihar Times): Arguably the oldest BJP leader in Bihar, Tarakant Jha, was on Saturday felicitated by chief minister Nitish Kumar and former foreign minister and leader of opposition in Rajya Sabha Jaswant Singh and other senior politicians here at Vidyapati Bhavan.

On this occasion Jaswant Singh released a book Mithila: Tradition and Challenges.  It contained write ups in the honour of Jha.

The chief minister showered praise on Jha for his services for the promotion of Mithilanchal, Maithili language and Mithila culture. He announced that the government would take up the development of Vidyapati Bhavan.

Jha, who is a senior lawyer and former state BJP presdient, called upon the people of various thoughts to come together and work unitedly for the welfare of the society and the nation.
