Bihar IAS gets first Jamshedji Tata Fellowship

Patna, (Bihar Times): A senior Bihar cadre IAS officer Manoj K Srivastava got the  Jamshedji Tata Fellowship which has been established in London School of Economics(LSE) in collaboration with Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) Mumbai. He would join the institute for two years for a research project on pro-poor governance in India.

With an academic bent of mind, Srivastava had earlier done some prestigious research work at Cambridge university and London School of Economics.

Srivastava was also selected as a SPURS fellow at MIT, USA in 2002 where he worked with Judith Tendler, a renowned authority on governance.

“Since my core interest was always in understanding  the intricate nuances of governability at the lowest level of the society,  this would be a great opportunity to understand the pro poor governance particularly in the Hindi heartland of India”said Srivastava.
