           | Patna, (Bihar Times): The president of the Bihar Cricket Association (BCA), Abdul Bari Siddiqui, on Wednesday blamed the former cricketer Kirti Azad for the police-spectator clash in the Moin-ul-Haq stadium on Monday.
He held the Azad-led Association of Bihar Cricket (ABC) for security lapse during an exhibition match involving star players
like Virender Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir and Pravin Kumar.

They had a narrow escape when unruly fans jumped the security cordon to have a glimpse of their stars and also clashed with police.

Siddique said that the incident exposed the tall claims of Azad who was running the state’s cricket through remote control from Delhi. Siddique also alleged that Azad used the event, organised to raise money for the Chief Minister’s fund, to gain political mileage. “It was more dance and entertainment events rather than cricket tournament,” he told mediapersons on Wednesday.

He questioned why Azad put his name and photo on posters and banners instead of cricketers. The Monday incident has tarnished the image of the state, he said.
