| Patna, (Bihar Times): The Janata Dal (United) on Wednesday sacked the party’s  national spokesman and general secretary, Shambhu Sharan Srivastava. The removal came a week after he openly spoke about the rampant corruption in the state government last Thursday. Incidentally the chief minister, Nitish Kumar, while on Vikas Yatra on the same day, also conceded that corruption in bureaucracy has emerged as a big problem for his government. However, Srivastava chose to held the chief minister himself responsible for the corruption. Srivastava, who is also an MLC, dubbed the party’s national president, Sharad Yadav’s move as authoritarian and one-sided and said that he was not given the opportunity to put his position. He said that he was pained over this decision because no show cause notice was served to him. He said that he would launch a campaign against the widespread corruption. It would start on February 15 and conclude on April 5. He said that he would organize meetings at 14 places in the state to expose corruption in the state machinery. It needs to be mentioned that a few years back Srivastava left the Janata Dal (United) to join Congress, but later came back to the party fold.
