CM lays foundation stone of CIMP

Patna,(BiharTimes): The Chief Minister, Nitish Kumar, on Monday laid the foundation stone of the new campus of the Chandragupta Institute of Management, Patna (CIMP) to be developed on 10 acres of land at Mithapur Institutional area.

Nitish lauded the achievements made by the CIMP in a short span of four years and expressed happiness over the fact, that the first batch of the institute had got 100 percent placement.

Several organization of national and international repute including NABARD, UNICEF, Bihar Rural Livelihoods Promotion Society (Jeevika) etc have tied up with the CIMP with a view to raising the socio-economic status of the people at the grassroots level.

Speaking on the occasion the Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi said that cities are recognized by the institutes that they boast.

Tata is recognized by XLRI and it is hoped that CIMP would give a separate identity to Patna as well, he added.

CIMP director B Mukund Das proposed a vote of thanks.

Besides having CIMP the Mithapur Institutional Area would also be home to Chanakaya Law Institute, Aryabhatta Knowledge University, IGNOU’s regional centre and NIFT.
