          Patna, Dec 10 (IANS) In a bold step, the Bihar cabinet Friday   decided to abolish the legislators annual fund of Rs.1 crore, officials   said. "The cabinet has decided in principle to abolish the   legislators 'fund, popularly known as MLAs' Fund," Cabinet Secretary Afzal   Amanullah told media persons here after a cabinet meeting chaired by Chief   Minister Nitish Kumar.

	  The money was supposed to be utilised for   development projects.
 
 Early this week, Nitish Kumar mooted the abolition   of the fund, saying it was being misused.

Its effect will be soon felt in whole India. This decision of the Bihar Cabinet will turn out to be a milestone in removing corruption in our state and should be used as precedence for other states too.
