LJP spokesman blames Prabhunath for defeat

Patna,(BiharTimes): In the first sign of post-poll friction Lok Janshakti Party spokesman, Shailendra Pratap, put all the blame for the defeat on Prabhunath Singh, who joined the RJD only on August 7 last.
Shailendra used the term rajnitik fufundi hai (political fungus) for Prabhunath saying that he destroys any party which he joins.

.
He said the whole move of Yadav-Rajput alliance backfired on the RJD-LJP combine. “It disenchanted the people, particularly the minorities,” Pratap was quoted in The Telegraph.

The LJP spokesperson said that Prabhunath has lost his credibility and thus his so-called sway over his caste worked against the ethos of the RJD-LJP combine.

Pratap charged Prabhunath with ensuring the defeat of RJD and LJP candidates. He said that Gautam Singh, who won on the Janata Dal (United) ticket from Manjhi, is his brother-in-law while Vinay Singh of the BJP, who defeated former chief minister Rabri Devi in Sonepur is his samdhi.

Prabhunath’s son was married to Vinay’s daughter only a couple of months before the election and among those who attended the ceremony was the RJD chief Lalu Yadav.

In fact Gautam defeated Prabhunath’s trusted aide Hemnarayan. He said the LJP would put a check on uunbridled democracy and at the same time it would support the good works of the Nitish Kumar government.

It needs to be recalled that the RJD MP Umashankar Singh has repeatedly been criticizing the party leadership for taking Prabhunath Singh into the party and giving him so much importance. Incidentally three of the four RJD MPs are Rajputs, including Umashankar Singh.
