Nitish soft towards PM, does not hold him responsible for everything

Patna,(BiharTimes): Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar does not hold “Prime Minister responsible for the entire issue related to corruption.” However, he was quick to add that the situation reflects that governance is not up to the mark in the country.

Addressing a Press conference on Saturday he agreed that corruption has emerged as a major issue in the country.

He said that the Centre’s offer of convening a special session of Parliament to debate 2 G Spectrum scam has no meaning. Nitish, however, added that the Centre should have accepted the Opposition’s demand for Joint Parliamentary Committee probe into the scam.

Though Nitish refused to comment on NDA’s demand for the resignation of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh yet the fact remains that Janata Dal (United) president, Sharad Yadav, was very much present in Delhi’s Mahasangram rally of December 22 where Arun Jaitley first raised this demand.

Similarly, Nitish disagreed with many when he said that he does not think that mid-term election like situation will arise, given the numerical strength of UPA in the Lok Sabha.

Political observers are a bit surprised by slightly different approach adopted by him, especially at the time when all the top NDA brass are gunning for Manmohan Singh.
