Patna,(BiharTimes): Chief minister Nitish Kumar released four books in his office on Monday.
They are Cartoonon ki Duniya by noted cartoonist Pawan, who contributes cartoons to Dainik Hindustan and BiharTimes.com. |
Nitish also released books Raj aur Samaj and Is Desh mein jo Ganga Bahati hai written by well-known Hindi journalists Srikant and Hemant respectively. Another book Chunav: Ath Betal Katha written by Hindi journalist and former editor of Prabhat Khabar, Patna, Ajay Kumar, was also released on the occasion.
Nitish said that he is a great fan of political cartoon right from his early age.
Present on the occasion were deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar Modi, human resources development minister, P K Shahi and Janata Dal (United) spokesman, Shivanand Tiwary.
Speaking on the occasion Pawan thanked M J Warsi, Department of Linguistics, Washington University, for his cooperation. The latter was present on the occasion.
Pawan’s cartoons have been included in the Hindi-Urdu Flagship Course in the University of Texas, Austin, the United States.
