Dr Tathagat Avatar Tulsi becomes youngest IIT Professor

Patna,(BiharTimes): Tathagat Avatar Tulsi made it yet again. At just 22 he will be joining the IIT-Mumbai as the youngest Assistant Professor in Physics. After being the youngest boy to pass High School, Graduation and M Sc the Patna-born did his PhD in Physics from Indian School of Science, Bangalore. He will join the IIT faculty at Powai in Mumbai next week.

Born on September 9, 1987 he had finished high school at the age of nine, earned his BSc degree at 10, and MSc degree at 12 and then received his Doctorate in "Generalizations of the Quantum Search Algorithm" from the Indian Institute of Science at the age of 21.

Tulsi’s parents originally come from Gaya but used to live in MIG flat in Kankarbagh in Patna. He has already turned down an offer from Waterloo University in Canada despite a hefty pay package.
