US envoy to OIC to visit parents’ home state of Bihar

Patna,(BiharTimes): President Barack Husain Obama’s ambassador to the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC), Rashad Hussain, will be visiting the capital of his parents’ home state of Bihar next week.

Yale University law graduate and Master in Public Administration from Harvard––besides being Hafiz-e-Quran––Rashad is a son of Bihar origin parents living in the United States.

Thirty-two years old Rashad will be visiting Patna, Aligarh, Mumbai, Hyderabad and New Delhi as a part of Obama administration’s effort to bridge the gap between the Muslim world and the United States.

Considered among the brightest hands in the Obama administration’s foreign policy team Rashad was appointed as the US envoy to 57-country strong OIC in February 2010.

Rashad’s father, Mohammad Husain, was a mining engineer, who moved from Bihar to Wyoming in the United States in late 1960s. His mother Roqaiya Hussain is a doctor and work as an Obstetrician in Plano.
