Patna, (BiharTimes) :In another incident of post-poll violence in Lakhisarai district of Bihar RJD MLA of the outgoing Assembly, Phulena Singh, was attacked by some masked gunmen while he was on way back.
He escaped unhurt when gunmen fired at his jeep at Pratappur village under Barhaiya police station in Lakhisarai district in the wee hours of Sunday.
His vehicle was reportedly attacked when he was returning to Lakhisarai after attending a function. Although no injury was caused to anyone, the jeep was damaged. He reportedly escaped as he ducked at the nick of the moment.
Singh lodged an FIR with the Barhaiya police station in this connection on Sunday morning.
Only last week three Dalits were killed by the supporters of a former MLA in the district. Though the dispute was not political in nature tension between the landed and landless is palpable in the district.
