Bihar to appoint 45,000 more constables

 

Patna,(BiharTimes): The state government is to recruit 45,000 new constables. This will be in addition to the 13,000 cops already being appointed and whose process has been going on for last several months.
This was decided at a three-hour meeting the chief minister Nitish Kumar had with top officials of home and police on Saturday. The chief minister also inquired the status of the appointment of 13,000 constables.



The police headquarters would sent a proposal for the appointment of another 45,000 constables within the next three days.

The DGP Neelmani informed him that the result of 3,000 constables were published while the remaining results would be released within a week.

The national average is 124 constables for the population of one lakh while that of Bihar it is just 69. Bihar at present has 65,000 constables.
