Shed arrogance, listen to people’s grievances, Nitish tells ministers

Patna,(BiharTimes): Chairing the first cabinet meeting on Saturday evening Chief Minister Nitish Kumar urged his colleagues not to turn the common people away from his or her chamber or bungalow and listen to their grievances and problems.

Asking them to be humble and shed arrogance he urged them never to ignore the elected representatives be it the MLAs, MPs or anyone else. He said that they should always remain in constant touch with the people be available to them.

The chief minister asked the ministers to take note of the letters of the elected representatives and acknowledge their letters.

It needs to be recalled that during the NDA-I, the elected representatives had often complained that the ministers were not honouring their representations. On their part the ministers used to put the blame on the officers for neglecting the recommendations of the elected representatives.
