BJP tops the list of criminals in the fray: Survey

Patna,(BiharTimes): The party with a difference, the BJP, has fielded maximum number of criminals in the coming assembly election to be followed by the Lok Janshakti Party and Janata Dal (United).

Ironically the BJP and Janata Dal (U) joined hands in Bihar with the aim of eradicating criminalization of politics, but as the figures suggest today they are the one who are encouraging the criminals in politics.

According to a survey conducted by National Election Watch (NEW), 44 per cent candidates contesting the coming election have criminal back-grounds. This figure is based on the study of the first list of all the parties. The survey said that 80 out of 183 (44 per cent) candidates. analysed by NEW have pending criminal cases according to affidavits submitted by them in previous elections.

Though the candidates are yet to file their affidavits with Election Commission for the current elections, NEW has looked at the background of the candidates announced by the BJP, JD(U), Congress, RJD and LJP by going through their affidavits they filed in previous assembly elections.

BJP tops the list with 62 per cent such candidates to be followed by LJP 53 per cent, JD(U) 33 per cent, RJD 31 per cent and Congress 24 per cent candidates with pending criminal cases.

Many of them are facing serious charges like murder, kidnapping and dacoity.

According to the Bihar co-ordinator of NEW Anjesh Kumar former Chief Election Commissioner N Gopalaswamy and former Patna high court judge Suresh Kumar Sinha have urged political parties not to betray people by giving tickets to criminals.

Shame, Shame, Shame on BJP. Dive your head in Shame. Not only 60% criminals are in your party but your base, your strategy is crime. Taking law and order in your hands are prime objective BJP. What a party, imagine what would have had happen when a criminal would have been PM of this great country. It is absolutely fortunate that man has been discarded by the people of country. God save this county from devils.
