Patna,(BiharTimes): Janata Dal (United) nominee for the Warsaliganj Assembly constituency for the coming election, Pradip Mahto, surrendered on Tuesday before a court in connection with the 2001 Nawada jail break case. At present he is the Independent MLA.

Pradip is the nephew of notorious gangster, Ashok Mahto. He facilitated the escape of his uncle, Ashok Mahto and six others from Nawada jail in 2001.

After getting the ticket from the ruling Janata Dal (United) from Warsaliganj he presented himself before the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate Sunil Kumar Singh and presented the relevant papers, including those relating to bail granted to him by the high court.

Three out of the seven who escaped from the Nawada jail were killed in an encounter with a raiding team of Kowakol police station of the district, four others were later arrested by the district police.

What happened to development focussed sushasan nicknamed CM? This type of gentelmen are given ticket and after winning they may lobby for jail minister or home minister (law and order). Whats happening in Bihar? In Nalanda tickets to only one particular caste and above that this type of people who were evasive of police arrest so far. Nobody can say that I didn't contribute in "Bihar ko barbaad karne me".
