After Narendra Modi, Nitish wary of Advani, Ravi Shankar

Patna(BiharTimes) Aware of the detrimental impact the Ayodhya verdict will have on his party’s Muslim support- base Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar is now feeling increasingly uncomfortable in sharing dais with the former deputy Prime Minister Lal Krishna Advani, party spokesman, Ravi Shankar Prasad, who also doubles as lawyer in one of the cases related to the Babri dispute.

Since the verdict and the media debate on it opened everything what happened in the last two decades it is natural for the Janata Dal (United) to dissociate itself from the saffron brigade.

The Janata Da; (United) is naturally feeling perturbed over the way Ravi Shankar Prasad addressed the media in Lucknow immediately after the verdict. The move may be good for a section of Hindu voters, but it really poured cold water on the chief minister’s plan to woo Muslims. That shot of Ravi Shankar Prasad was as damaging as Nitish’s photo with the Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi published in an advertisement on June 12 last.

As the media discussion on the run-up to September 30 verdict and even after it, once again, revived the old memories and highlighted the role played by Lal Krishna Advani the Janata Dal (United) wants to distance itself with him too––at least till the election campaign.

So now the issue is not just to keep Narendra Modi and Varun Gandhi out of Bihar, but also not to share dais with Advani, Ravi Shankar and others, who have played their role in the Ram Temple movement.
It is other thing that Nitish has a very strong personal relationwhip with all of them.
Political observers are of the view that even if Advani, Prasad, or even the state’s chief minister Sushil Kumar or other leaders do not utter a word on Ayodhya verdict their very presence is liketly to open the old wounds.

Though before the court verdict media reports suggested that Advani was even prepared to campaign for Parween Amanullah, daughter of Syed Shahabuddin, once the champions of the Babri Masjid movement, now the Janata Dal (United) has decided to re-chalk out its strategy. Parween is the party’s candidate from Sahibpur Kamal assembly constituency. It has a sizeable Muslim population and Parween is facing a lot of difficulty now then before September 30 verdict.

It needs to be mentioned that Janata Dal (United) is the first party to give secular legitimacy to the BJP when it joined hands with the saffron brigade way back in early 1996. Before that only Shiv Sena and Akali Dal were its two partners.

Mind it Advani was arrested in Bihar at the order of the then chief minister Lalu Yadav on October 23, 1990. It is the same Lalu, who may try to capitalize on the situation though the Congress too has chalked out its own strategy in this regard.

I am pained to read the view of so called educated Muslim Dr. Anwer. How can you represent muslim and say muslim are not going to vote for Nitish or any of his candidate. It is the people like you who voted Lalu for 15 years (Yadav-Muslim) combination and later we saw Bihar regressing 50 years. Congress or Lalu, if they are your genuine well wisher, Muslim community’s living standard might have been at high. At least educated people should get rid of these kind of religion and caste and vote for development. Nitish may not be perfect as per all people’s expectation, but he is the best among options. Please don’t keep your fundamentalist view. BJP and JD(U) is best option in current scenario. Please don’t get carried away in mandir masjid.

Why now Mr Nistish should worry about ADVANI or RAVISHANKAR Prasad, do the author feel that muslins are any way going to vote for Mr. NITISH or his part candidate? The list is countless which Mr Nistish should be worried about .
The Ayodhaya verdict has become a blessings for the Indian Muslims, a clear line has been drawn between friends and foes ,the statement of Mr Ravishamkar Prasad immediately after verdict was a last nail in the coffin for both BJP and JDU.(so far election in Bihar is concerned)
More over it will be interesting to watch MR SAYED SHAHABUDDIN and MR LK ADVANI sharing the same dais for the campaign of PARVEEN AMANULLAH, an alliance of mutual but brazen interest, the Muslims should draw their own road map in the quest of power and find out hidden agenda of the puppet in their own row.
Mr Nistish should have thought these things much before the announcement of recent election, his certain decisions has angered educated Muslims from Bihar, for example his appointment Mr. Duwaidi (the architect of Bhagalpur carnage) as an IG operations, can not be forgotten by the Muslims of the state ,removal of many Muslim ministers from the cabinet led by Mr. Nitsih kumar are the few things to be noted and reminded during the election campaign! Some one has to pay the dividend of alliance with the saffron brigades
