Shatru turns friend, to campaign in Bihar

Patna,(BiharTimes): Cine-star and Patna Saheb MP Shatrughan Sinha has agreed to campaign for the Nitish Kumar-led National Democratic Allaince government in Bihar following request from the BJP’s national president, Nitin Gadkari.

Talking to media in Patna Shatru, for the first time in so many months, praised the state government for its performance. Till now he has been a bitter critic of Nitish Kumar and on a couple of occasions even praised the RJD supremo, Lalu Yadav.

However, he told media that the state government had done good works and should be given another chance to rule Bihar.

Interestingly, earlier his name was not included in the list of those BJP leaders, who are to campaign in Bihar. Political observers are of the view that the last-minute move to win-over Bihari Babu and request him to campaign for Nitish Kumar indicates that it is not so easy for the NDA as it is being made out in the media.

Nitish won the 2005 assembly and 2009 parliamentary elections without the active participation of Shatrughan Sinha. In fact last year he remained confined to his own constituency, Patna Saheb.
