Sushil Modi alleges Lalu-Maoists collusion in Bihar

Patna,(BiharTimes): The deputy chief minister, Sushil Kumar Modi, alleged that the Rashtriya Janata Dal chief, Lalu Yadav is conniving with the Maoists for call boycott.

Commenting on the poll boycott threat of the Maoists Modi said that in the 15 years of RJD rule Lalu Yadav was always hand in glove with the ultra Left outfit. “Lalu’s politics suits the Maoists, therefore, he took their help as he thinks that in this way they would be able to keep the supporters of the National Democratic Alliance away from the booth,” he told newsmen.

Modi’s direct allegation against RJD is likely to cause political storm in the state as the party too had to bear the brunt of extremists’ violence. Early this month the Maoists abducted the RJD candidate and sitting MLA from Rafiganj in Aurangabad district, Mohammad Nehaluddin. However, he was later released by them.
