Bihar not shining, says Rahul Gandhi

Patna:(IANS) Terming Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's claims of development a 'false propaganda', Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi on Monday said Bihar was 'not shining'.

'Bihar is not shining, it is a slogan like the 'India shining' of the NDA (National Democratic Alliance) in 2004. People of India already rejected that slogan and now it will be rejected in Bihar too,' Rahul said, addressing an election rally at Ramnagar in Bagaha district.

'Bihar is shining for others, including people outside Bihar and outside India but not for millions of people living in the state. Bihar is shining for rest of the world but not for its own people. It is a false propaganda of Bihar government led by Nitish Kumar because people are asking and questioning his claims of shining Bihar,' he said.

People of Bihar are still living without facilities like electricity, drinking water, health and good education, he said.

'People from Bihar are running the entire country, be it in New Delhi, Punjab or Maharashtra. But they were let down by the government in their own home state,' he said.

Addressing another election rally in Saran district, Gandhi charged Nitish Kumar with betraying people of Bihar by propagating about development and progress, which is 'far from the truth'.

Very well said Sudhir Ranjan Jee.

People still remember the systematic de-development of Bihar done in the regime of congress government (sometime directly & sometime through supporting) at the center and in the state.

Mr. Rahul Gandhi your party has been ruling the country for last 10 years and still you went on saying that only 5% money reaches to the people what GoI sent. Can I ask what action your government has taken to increase this percentage or what strategies your government has adopted to reduce the leakage other than INACTION?

How all congress leaders (even village level leaders) roam around on SUVs? Where do they get the money from? Has that money not come from CWG scam of Rs. 70,000 crore? Your senior party leader was caught with huge cash at Patna airport while landing for delhi bound flight? How did he get that money?

What do you think Bihar’s youth & citizen’s are fool? Do congress party have even a leader in the state with vision? or are state congress leaders ready to do TYAAG of their MOH – MAYA? Answer is Big NO.

Thanks a lot Mr. Rahul Gandhi jee for visiting Bihar.

The face of Bihar had been scratched fifteen times by the fifteen Chief Ministers of Congress Party out of twenty two (in total) Chief Minister of Bihar. And, the wound is so deep that it is difficult to perform cosmetic surgery. Mr. Rahul Gandhi, please do not forget that Congress were further supporting (Congress leaders were ministers) the famous 15 years rule of “glorious era” of Lalu Pd and Rabri Devi regimes in Bihar who were pouring concentrated acids and bases on the face of Bihar. 90% burnt Bihar is on dialysis under the leadership of Nitish Kumar. Illiterates understand well that burnt faces take years to shine. Congress is solely responsible for social and industrial bankruptcy of Bihar, and it would be our moral bankruptcy if we fail to teach Congress a lesson again ( in the name of caste).
Congress should ask for forgiveness…. Congress should tone down speech script… why? Congress killed ‘first modern temple of Industrial India’ in Sindri (a ghost town, now in Jharkhand)…. Congress killed education system in Bihar while allowing tom-dick-harry to become lecturer-to-professor in early 1980s…. Congress killed a concept of Electronic City (hence the vocational training in various areas) in Hajipur in 1980s…. Congress prejudices against communists in Begusarai areas killed the growth of Barauni and Barauni-type industrialization as well as small scale industrial growth in other parts of Bihar….. Congress killed sugar Mills in Bihar at the expense of other states’ political settlement at Center in early 1980s…. powerful Congress government killed agrarian society while aligning all the time with zamindari forces (Praksh Jha’s “Damul” revealed such story way back in 1984)…. Congress brought caste system into electoral malpractices…. Still people are voting for Congress…they should be thankful. It is appalling…. that Congress Party is not being symbolized as an “irresponsible culture ” of impoverished Bihar.
