Patna,(BiharTimes): The Bihar School Examination Board has decided to take the Class X and XII exams earlier from the next year. Like in the early past, now the exams will start from mid-February rather than March. The Board has decided so for the early declaration of results.

Previously, due to late declaration of results, a large number of students were deprived of taking admission in prestigious colleges outside the state. Now, the students will have a fair chance to compete in various entrance examinations and take admission in reputable institutions.

According to BSEB chairman A K P Yadav this year, the Class X board and intermediate examinations will start between February 15 and 20. The month-long exercise will continue till mid-March.

Apart from advancing the exam, the board has decided to introduce more short questions in these exams. The decision to this effect was taken after the conclusion of the two-day workshop organized by the BSEB on Tuesday.

The workshop also came up with the introduction of conceptual short questions with alternatives in the exams. The board has now decided to give more impetus to knowledge-based-conceptual questions, he added.
