Patna, Sep 15 (IANS) A three-member Election Commission team will visit Bihar Sunday to oversee preparations for the October-November assembly polls in the state, an official said here.

The EC team, on a three-day visit, will be headed by Chief Election Commissioner S.Y. Quraishi.

"The team will hold a meeting with the representatives of all national and regional political parties and will also hold discussions with the state chief secretary and the director general of police on ensuring peaceful polling," the official told IANS.

The assembly polls are scheduled to be held in six phases from Oct 21 to Nov 20.
