66,000 pledge to keep peace in Bihar polls

Patna, Sep 17 (IANS) More than 66,000 suspected troublemakers have filled up bonds promising not to disrupt the coming Bihar assembly election, police said Friday.

The authorities have identified a total of 66,585 people they feel can cause violence during the October-November ballot. "They were made to fill up bonds to ensure they do not create trouble," a police official said.

The Election Commission has announced month-long polls to rotate security forces all across the state.
