Patna,(BiharTimes): The central parliamentary board of the Rashtriya Janata Dal on Saturday authorized the party supremo Lalu Prasad to take appropriate steps to select candidates for all 168 assembly seats the party is contesting in Bihar. The rest 75 seats would be contested by the alliance partner the Lok Janshakti Party.
Party spokesperson Shakeel Ahmed Khan told reporters after an hour-long meeting of the Board chaired by Lalu that the central parliamentary board had authorised the party chief for selection of candidates. He also said that the party would start releasing the candidates for the six phase poll in Bihar soon.
