CM calls for awareness campaign about Right to Service Bill

Patna, (BiharTimes): Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Thursday directed officials to launch an awareness campaign among the masses to apprise them about the tenets of the Right to Service Bill, which was passed by the Bihar Assembly last month. Bihar thus became the second state after Madhya Pradesh to enact law in the regard.

He said an awareness campaign should be carried out throughout the state for apprising the people about their rights to seek disposal of their application for any work within a time-frame by the officials who have been made accountable for this work,


He told the officials at a review meeting in Patna that all government departments should carry out preparatory works for the implementation of the Bill.


Nitish said that government departments should also start a training and orientation programme from next month for the employees to make them aware about the provisions of the Bill.
