Patna,(BiharTimes): A division bench of the Patna High Court comprising Justice Ahsanuddin Amanullah and S K Katriar on Tuesday rejected a PIL, which challenged the appointment of A K Choudhary as the Chief Information Commissioner, Bihar.
The PIL was filed by S N Upadhya on the ground that the selection panel had only recommended Choudhary’s name for the post while no other names were suggested along with him. Choudhary is a former Chief Secretary of Bihar and Chairman of the Bihar Public Service Commission.
The Court ruled that no set procedure was trespassed in the appointment of the CIC.
