.Patna,(BiharTimes): A Public Interest Litigation was filed in the Patna High Court seeking to set aside the recent appointments of six Vice-Chancellors and five pro-Vice-Chancellors of Universities by Chancellor-cum-Governor Devanand Konwar.

Prof Ram Tamakhya Singh of department of Chemistry, Veer Kuer Singh University, Ara, filed the PIL on Thursday pleading that the court must quash the appointments as it was “in flagrant violation” of Bihar University Act 1976.
It needs to be recalled that in May last the High Court had quashed the appointments of two VCs––of Magadh and Veer Kuer Singh Universities.
