Nitish to re-induct Ramadhar Singh into the state cabinet

Patna,(BiharTimes): The chief minister Nitish Kumar has decided to re-induct former minister Ramadhar Singh into the state cabinet. He would be administered oath by Governor Devanand Konwar at a simple ceremony on Friday, Ramadhar Singh had to resign on May 20 as cooperative minister following media reports that he is an absconder.

Nitish had on Wednesday conveyed his decision to re-induct Ramadhar Singh as a member of his cabinet to the Governor. Singh was facing charges of making inflammatory speech in 1992. He was declared an absconder by a Aurangabad court in May 1995 after he had repeatedly failed to appear before it in connection with the case registered by the police in Madanpur police station under the district. Singh had to resign from the Nitish Kumar Cabinet after much public outcry.
Upon this the Leader of Opposition in the state Assembly Abdul Bari Siddiqui sought his resignation.
Following pressure from different quarters he had to resign from the state Cabinet and surrender before court on May 26. The court had later on June 3 granted his application for regular bail.
