Ramadhar back, touches Nitish’s feet after taking oath

Patna,(BiharTimes): Sacked minister Ramadhar Singh was on Friday once again inducted in the Nitish Kumar cabinet on Friday morning. He got the same old cooperative portfolio.
He was administered oath by Governor Devanand Konwar at a function in Raj Bhavan. He thanked the chief minister and deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar Modi, who incidentally belongs to his own party, for his re-induction into the cabinet.

As reported he had to resign on May 20 after being declared an absconder by a local court in Aurangabad. But he got bail in the cases on June 3 and since then it was expected he would be re-inducted, as his department was being looked after by Modi and the BJP had not given any indication to replace him.
Political observers are of the view that the whole drama which led to his dismissal and re-induction has little to do with the communal speech given in 1992 but more to do with the BISCOMAUN politics. It was the lobby working against him who got the story of his being an absconder planted in the media in the May last.
After the oath-taking ceremony, he did something unusual. Ramadhar stepped down from the stage and touched Nitish Kumar’s feet. Then he shook hands with other ministers.
Earlier, Ramadhar offered puja at his residence before reaching Raj Bhawan half an hour before the oath-taking ceremony. He had a long saffron tika over his forehead.
