Nitish, Shatru pay glowing tributes to evergreen actor

Patna,(BiharTimes): Chief minister Nitish Kumar and fellow actor and Patna Saheb MP Shatrughan Sinha paid glowing tributes to evergreen actor Dev Anand, who died in London late on Saturday.

The chief minister, while expressing his profound grief, said Dev Anand ruled the hearts of the youth for decades through his memorable films. He commanded great respect not only in the film industry but in social circles also. His death has caused an irreparable loss.

Bihari Babu, who acted with now late Dev Anand in several films, said he was the last Mogul of Bollywood and nobody can take his place. Shatru gave credit to Dev Anand for giving a break in films to him by giving a role in Prem Pujari. Though it was very small role, Dev Anand compensated for it by giving him another role in his next film Gambler.

They both worked together in Sharif Badmash. It was really a privilege to work with him, the BJP MP said. He said Dev sahib had a great social and professional life and his style was quite different. He was really a great man.
