Another Maoists’ attack in Bihar; no casualty reported

>

Patna,(BiharTimes): A large number of Maoists, said to be around 400 in number, attacked Dhivra police station under Aurangabad district late on Tuesday evening. However, about 100 policemen present in the police station returned fire forcing the Maoists to retreat.

The exchange of fire lasted quite a while. However, no casualty has been reported in the incident.

A similar attack was carried out at Tandwa police station in Aurangabad district on Monday and on Sunday night at the Cobra battalion of CRPF in Dumaria block of Gaya district. However, no casualty was reported in these two incidents too.

The two-day Bharat Bandh by Maoists evoked good response in several rural areas of Bihar. For example in Gaya district alone 350 out of 400 private and BSRTC buses could not ply in the last two days.

The bandh call has been given to protest the killing of Kishanji, a senior leader of the CPI (Maoist) in West Bengal on November 24 last.
