Now a medical student arrested on molestation charge in Patna

Patna,(BiharTimes): Another incident of alleged molestation of a girl on the main thoroughfare of Patna has been reported. However, this time prompt action by the local residents helped police arrest the accused.

The youth involved in the case is, Manish Kumar, who is incidentally an MBBS final year student of Nalanda Medical College Hospital (NMCH).
According to police two girls were on way to their residence at Machua Toli after attending their IIT-JEE coaching classes at Khazanchi Road at around 6 PM on Wednesday. As they were walking, a youth riding a motorcycle, first passed lewd comments on them. After that he caught the hand of one of the girls.
The officials of Pirbahore police station quoting the written complaint lodged by the girls, said that both the girls raised an alarm drawing the attention of the local residents. Upon this some students of the coaching institute reached the spot and even thrashed Manish. On getting information, the SHO of Pirbahore police station, Asrar Ahmad, reached the spot and arrested Manish.
The girls in their complaints alleged that Manish was stalking them for at least the past 25 days. They further mentioned that Manish used to follow them even when they went for marketing.
However, Manish denied the charge and said that he had been falsely implicated in the case by the two girls. He said he was staying at the NMCH hostel and had come to PMCH to meet one of his friends.
