Sabir Ali files nomination as JD(U) candidate for RS election
Patna,(BiharTimes): Former Rajya Sabha MP of Lok Janshakti Party, Sabir Ali, filed his nomination for the lone seat of the Rajya Sabha on a Janata Dal (United) ticket. The seat was vacated because of his resignation last month both from LJP and Rajya Sabha. The election is to take place on December 22.
Sabir was elected on the LJP ticket in March 2008. However, after the Assembly 2010 election he started criticizing party leadership. On a number of occasions he had praised chief minister Nitish Kumar and a couple of months ago openly revolted against the LJP leadership.
