Winter Session adjourned after just five sitting days

Patna,(BiharTimes): The Winter Session of Bihar Assembly was adjourned sine die on Friday. It was one of the briefest sessions as it met for just five days. In fact the first day, December 2, was adjourned after paying condolence to sitting and former members.

There was no session on December 6 because of Muharram holiday.

Among other things both the Houses passed The Bihar Lokayukta Bill 2011.

Apart from that the House had passed the Bihar Apartment Ownership (Amendment) Bill 2011, Bihar Land Mutation Bill, 2011, Bihar Municipal Corporation (Amendment) Bill 2011, Bihar Cooperative Society (Amendment) Bill and the Bihar Special Survey and Settlement Bill, 2011 which aims at land reforms. The Patna University (Amendment) Bill, 2011 and Bihar State University (Amendment) Bill, 2011 too were discussed by the members of the state Assembly.

Besides, the House passed the second supplementary demands and related Appropriation Bills totalling Rs 6,152 crore.
