Railway officials, RJD MP seek withdrawal of suspension order against SDOM

Patna,(BiharTimes): Even as Railway officers have demanded immediate revocation of suspension of the Senior Divisional Operating Manager (SDOM), Adhar Raj, the Railway Minister Dinesh Trivedi got two other officers transferred on the same issue.

Chief Commercial Manager (CCM), East Central Railway, Arvind Kumar and Chief Passenger Traffic Manager (CPTM), S K Sharma, have been transferred for failing to give confirmed berths in Rajdhani Express to MPs from Bihar. While CCM Arvind Kumar was transferred to North Frontier Railway, CPTM S K Sharma was shifted to South West Railway.

Surprisingly, RJD MP Ram Kripal Yadav also met Railway Minister Dinesh Trivedi and demanded that the suspension order be immediately revoked. What is more interesting is that Adhar Raj, according to reports, is a close relative of a JD(U) MP from Bihar.

These officials were penalized after MPs, most of them of NDA, complained that the Railways failed to accommodate them and their spouses on the Delhi-bound Patna Rajdhani Express last Tuesday.

A delegation of the Federation of Railway Officers Association (FROA) met Member (Traffic) K K Srivastava at the Railway Headquarters and demanded revocation of the suspension order of Adhar Raj.
FROA office-bearers contend that Adhar Raj was being victimised. They said that suspension order be revoked because railway officials work in a very difficult condition and they cannot be victimized on small issues.

Meanwhile, the Danapur Railway Officers’ Association (ROA) had on Thursday held a meeting at the DRM’s office at Danapur under the chairmanship of Additional Divisional Railway Manager (ADRM), Danapur, and passed a resolution describing the suspension of Adhar Raj as demoralizing for railway officials.
