Plus-II girls school in another confiscated building approved

Patna,(BiharTimes): The Bihar cabinet on Tuesday approved the proposal to hand over the confiscated house of yet another corrupt public servant, Girish Kumar, to the Backward Caste and Extremely Backward Caste Welfare department to open a Plus-two Kanya Vidyalaya in it.

The house, located in Park Road, was confiscated under the provisions of Bihar Special Courts Act 2009. The first house to be confiscated under this Act belongs to S S Verma, IAS.

Girish was suspended from the post of treasury assistant. He is facing disproportionate assets (DA) case.

Besides, the cabinet also sanctioned Rs 92 crore for the Pre-School Shiksha Yojana under Integrated Child Development Scheme for 37 lakh children of Anganbadi Kendras.

A proposal to open Nodal Anganbadi Kendras in all the panchayats covered under DFID was also okayed by the state cabinet and a sum of Rs 85.80 crore was sanctioned for the purpose. It also decided to open nutrition monitoring units at the state and district headquarters.
