PG student's body recovered from Saidpur Hostel of PU

Patna,(BiharTimes): The body of a Post Graduate student of Patna University was found abandoned in the mess of Saidpur Hostel number 2 on Tuesday morning. It is suspected that he was strangulated by some one.

Dilip Kumar was the native of Senari village of Arwal district. The inmates of Saidpur hostel strongly protested his death after the recovery of the body.

According to SDPO, Sushil Kumar, the deceased, was staying in room number 9 with some oher persons including a CRPF jawan, Ashok Yadav. They had boozed together on Monday night in an abandoned hostel nearby. Later the group dispersed.

Students, who on Tuesday morning found Dilip’s body lying near an abandoned mess of a hostel, suspect the role of Ashok in his death and sought his immediate arrest and adequate compensation to his family.

They also alleged that the CRPF jawan was having an affair with a local girl, whose family was staying at hostel number 7, which was abandoned. They said that Dilip always protested their relationship. This might be the reason behind his murder.

But, according to the SDPO, the CRPF jawan had recently come to Patna for treatment as he was suffering from jaundice.

On getting information, Patna SSP Alok Kumar also reached the spot and pacified the protesting students. The body was later sent to NMCH for autopsy. A forensic team also reached the spot and collected finger prints. A dog squad was also pressed into service.

Three persons, including the CRPF jawan, have been detained for interrogation in this connection.
