Middle-aged man shot dead in Patna City

Patna,(BiharTimes): Forty-five years old Kishori Paswan, a resident of the Mathnital area of Patna City, was killed beside a tea stall around 8 on Monday morning near Patna Saheb railway station.

According to police an acquaintance of the victim rang him up at 7:45 AM and allegedly asked him to come to the stall for a cup of tea on the chilly winter morning. When he reached the spot two-bike-borne persons fired at him and fled.

Chowk police is clueless about the murdered and suspect that the murder could be the fallout of the victim’s criminal antecedents.

Reports said that Kishori, a petty businessman, reached the station in five minutes. Two bike-borne persons surfaced on the spot around 8 AM. They pumped in six bullets in his body from point-blank range and fled. The victim slumped to the ground.

The police arrived at the spot soon after the firing incident and found him lying in a pool of blood. He was rushed to Nalanda Medical College and Hospital, where he was declared brought dead.

Police suspect that prima facie, it looks like a planned murder. The victim was called by someone he knew and was requested to come down to one of the tea stalls near the railway station for a cup of tea. Kishori would not have left home had the caller been a stranger.
