Another case of house-grabbing: Woman seeks CM’s help against JD(U) MLA

Patna,(BiharTimes): Controversial Janata Dal (United) MLA from Tarari in Bhojpur district Sunil Pandey is once again in the news for all the wrong reasons. A woman Ranjita Devi met the chief minister Nitish Kumar during the Janata Darbar on Monday to complaint that the ruling party MLA had forcibly occupied her house and not leaving despite repeated requests.

The chief minister assured the woman that he would look into the matter and assured proper action.

Only in December last Sunil and his MLC brother were involved in case related to extortion of money from a construction firm owner.

Another case of house-grabbing came up before the chief minister during the last Monday Janata Darbar. Hemant Devi, the daughter-in-law of the national poet, Ramdhari Singh Dinkar, met the chief minister and complained that the brother of the deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar Modi has forcibly occupied her house. However, later she alleged that the chief minister did pay much attention and went to Delhi where she sat on dharna at Rajghat.

Several men and women of letters have strongly criticized the state government’s stand on the issue.

Last month a renowned doctor of Patna literally fled from his home when a builder reportedly threatened to occupy his house.
