How many schools opened in corrupt officials’ houses, RJD asks Nitish

Patna,(BiharTimes): Asking the chief minister as to how many corrupt officers his government has booked and new schools opened in their houses as declared repeatedly by him the main opposition party, the RJD on Sunday expressed shock over Nitish Kumar’s statement that the boom in real estate price has surprised him.

Talking to newsmen party spokesman, Shakeel Ahmed Khan and party MP Ram Kripal Yadav said that the RJD is shocked over this kind of statement from the chief minister, who has many times expressed his intention to eliminate corruption.

Reacting to chief minister’s statement about the skyrocketing real estate price Khan asked: Does the CM not know why a boom of this magnitude has taken place. Everyone knows that there is loot of development fund meant for schemes like Indira Awas Scheme, MNREGA, health schemes of central government etc.

The black money spun out of it was invested in purchase of plots, flats and land and consequently the state witnessed boom in real estate, he alleged.

They alleged that the chief minister was trying to confuse the people by making this kind of statement. Khan said that the government can get the names of those who are corrupt by carrying out a survey of the buyers of flats and plots during the last five years. He alleged that Bihar has become focal point where black money is being pumped in a massive way. For honest persons it has become very difficult to purchase land or flats specially in Patna.

Ram Kripal added that the government is not bothered to catch hold of officials who were neck-deep in corruption. The chief minister is aware of all these facts, but he is simply feigning ignorance, he said.
