Govt asks Chancellor to remove JP University VC

Patna,(BiharTimes): The state government has written to Chancellor-cum-Governor, Devanand Kunwar, to demand the immediate removal of the Vice Chancellor of Jaiprakash Narayan University, Chapra, Dinesh Prasad Sinha, after a Bhojpuri folk singer charged him with misbehaviour.

Making this announcement in the state Assembly on Thursday after the members raised the issue the human resources development minister Prashant Kumar Shahi said that he had written a letter to Chancellor on Wednesday itself seeking the immediate removal of the Vice Chancellor.
The MLAs alleged that the Vice Chancellor got students of the University beaten up by his goons when they demanded his removal after folk artiste, Devi, levelled serious charges against him.
