MLA murder case: CBI team arrives in Purnia

 

Patna,(BiharTimes): A six-member team of the Central Bureau of Investigation arrived in Purnea on Saturday to probe the murder of BJP MLA Raj Kishore Kesri, who was allegedly stabbed to death by lady principal, Rupam Pathak, on January 4 last. Rupam alleged that the MLA and his aide repeatedly raped her.


Rupam Pathak and a local journalist, Navlesh Pathak, were arrested in this connection––the latter for highlighting the story of rape. They are presently lodged in Purnia Central Jail. The CBI team went to Khazanchihat Police station.

The CBI team refused to talk to the media.
