JD(U) general secretary alleges rampant corruption in Bihar education dept.

Patna,(BiharTimes): Sounds strange nevertheless true. Of all the persons Janata Dal (United) general secretary Shivanand Tiwari on Sunday wrote a letter to the new Human Resources Development minister of Bihar, P K Shahi, alleging rampant corruption in Higher Education.
Urging Shahi to take immediate effective measures to check the menace the letter also made reference to the appointments made to the posts of Vice Chancellors a few months back.

The letter said that a person who was under the Vigilance department investigation over corruption charges was appointed as the Vice Chancellor of a varsity in Bihar some months ago.

It needs to be recalled that the state government passed all the blames on the Raj Bhavan for such appointments while the Governor’s office said that the names were cleared by the state government. Tiwari’s was obviously referring to the Magadh University Vice Chancellor, Arvind Kumar, who was appointed last March.
